agreed - articles about large-scale architectures that include analysis of the compromises/drawbacks would be far more interesting than just the cold facts
i think that comes out of the fact that we're tackling problems that we don't know what the "best" is, so we just go with what works.
interesting view point. i find those articles quite interesting - not nec. from a copying standpoint but from an informational one.
